Governor Otter, you and your state legislators have performed a grave disservice to your citizens by choosing greed over the health and wellbeing of humans, animals, and the earth. I respectfully urge you to repeal this dangerous Ag-Gag law.
Contrary to what Big-Ag believes, people have a right to know how their food is treated before it ends up on their plate. Animal abuse, neglect, and torture are unacceptable, don’t you agree? Of any animal, not just those many deem as worthy of “pet” status over the billions slaughtered, and appallingly so, to feed and sicken Americans.
As a public servant, your actions should benefit the people you serve, not corporations whose interests only involve adding to the billions they have–and their shareholders, of course. What you and your state legislators have allowed is nothing less than a travesty.
