No one, including myself, would know by looking at it, but this is the new logo for The Baltimore Sun. Awful, isn’t it? Anyway, I used the lame logo because I submitted a letter to its “Op-Ed” department today. It’s the letter about banning gestation crates I’d sent our state’s Secretary of Agriculture and State Veterinarian three times without a response.
I’m submitting it to The Washington Post come May 1. Because I’d read the most allowed on-line articles this month without a subscription, it tossed me off the “Op-Ed Submission” page. As much as I miss the paper each morning, it’s become prohibitively expensive to subscribe again. Sigh. It’ll have to be the on-line subscription for me.
Aside from that, I could find this “Op-Ed” submission thing addictive. Hey, if they don’t respond after three times, what’s a concerned citizen to do?
