Day 95: The everblooming roses are blushing with youthful vitality now. I love how masses of roses look climbing across trellises or peeking through fences:
Not a fan of receiving roses or any flower, really. Why? They’re high maintenance, the kitties eat (and regurgitate) them, and they die a sad, ugly death (flowers, not the cats). And then there’s the moldy vase to scrub clean. Houseplants (cat-friendly) or dinner out, now you’re talking.
I am a lover of these roses, planted all over town due to their low-maintenance, always-showy qualities. The various shades of red, or this one touched by coral and pink, attract me, and they pop on cloudy days.
